Following a couple of dismal years, Cathie Wood's ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) is back on top. And she can mostly thank four home runs. Four stocks in the ARK Innovation portfolio — recent IPO Circle Internet (CRCL), Robinhood (HOOD), Tempus AI (TEM) and Palantir Technologies (PLTR) — are all up 80% or more this year, says an Investor's Business Daily analysis of data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and IBD MarketSurge.

The threat of inflation is concerning to many savers, worried their money won't go as far as it used to. But for S&P 500 investors, a popular asset — ETFs — is getting even cheaper. This month, Charles Schwab's Schwab Asset Management unit slashed the fees on four of its ETFs. Schwab cut the fee in half on its Schwab International Equity ETF (SCHF), for instance, from 0.06% to 0.03%. That pushes the cost of owning the ETF to practically zero.

You've got to hand it to Cathie Wood. When there's money to be made in the S&P 500 or out, she has an ETF ready to cash in. Shares of Wood's ARK Space Exploration & Innovation ETF (ARKX) are up 11.4% this year, says Morningstar Direct. That makes it the fourth-best actively traded U.S. diversified ETF this year. It's topping the 2.6% return of the S&P 500 and 7.8% return of ARK's flagship ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK).

Trump promised to end two wars in other countries. Instead, those are still raging and a new one is brewing in the United States.

Not many S&P 500 investors can say they've done better than Palantir Technologies $PLTR stock this year. But some risk-seeking ETF investors can. Insights from @ToddRosenbluth @Vetta_Fi https://t.co/vwQLaTSDI8
