Dr. Stephen Harden has been elected as the incoming president of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), succeeding current RCR President Dr. Katharine Halliday. Harden, who is the RCR’s current vice-president of clinical radiology, will begin his term as president officially on 1 September 2025 for the next three years. He will remain in his current position until then. Harden has been a consultant in cardiothoracic radiology at University Hospital Southampton since 2005.

In a statement, CARB-X said that AstraDx will use the funds to demonstrate feasibility of its diagnostic ahead of development; the firm aims to develop “a robust, low-cost instrument” to detect neonatal sepsis.
