The Hockey Commissioners Association has announced its monthly men’s honors for November. Boston College sophomore forward Ryan Leonard is the player of the month, Michigan forward Michael Hage is rookie of the month, and Colorado College junior Kaidan Mbereko and Minnesota State junior Alex Tracy are co-goaltenders of the month.

Hockey East announced Saturday that Boston College sophomore goaltender Jacob Fowler has been suspended for one game stemming from an incident at 4:49 of the second period on Friday, November 16 at UConn. On the play, Fowler was given a five-minute major penalty for roughing and a game misconduct. Fowler is ineligible to play Nov. 19 at Providence and can return to the Eagles’ lineup on Nov. 22 against Northeastern.

No. 17 UMass Lowell scored two goals 34 seconds apart in the third period to snap a 3-3 tie and defeat No. 9 Boston University 5-3 Friday night at Agganis Arena in Boston. Libor Nemec made it 4-3 River Hawks at 11:28 of the final period and then Dillan Bentley gave UML the insurance goal at 12:02. Connor Eddy, Ian Carpentier and Ben Meehan also scored for UMass Lowell.

Michigan State avenged a 3-0 loss Friday night to Boston College as the No. 4-ranked Spartans came from behind Saturday night and downed the second-ranked Eagles 4-3 at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich. Charlie Stramel scored two goals for MSU, while Trey Augustine finished with 32 saves between the pipes in the win, also Michigan State’s 600th career win all-time at Munn Ice Arena. Russell 's tip off a feed from Dorwart gives MSU back the lead, 4-3.

After being picked No. 1 in the USCHO.com Preseason Division I Men’s Poll back on Sept. 23, defending national champion Denver earned 43 first-place votes this week to stay at the top spot in the poll. Boston College is again No. 2, garnering six first-place votes, while Boston University stays No. 3, and Michigan State remains fourth. Minnesota is up one spot to No. 5 this week. Lawrence women’s hockey coach Kevin Dessart is climbing up to the NCAA Division I level. Dessart, who took the reins of Lawrence’s program in June 2022, has been hired as the associate head coach at Vermont, taking over for Alex Gettens, who departed for Colgate earlier in August. “I am extremely excited to become the associate head coach with the University of Vermont women’s hockey team,” Dessart said in a statement.

College Hockey Inc. announced Monday that Sean Hogan will serve as the organization’s new executive director. Hogan was elevated from his previous position of senior director of men’s hockey athlete relations and will begin his new role effective immediately, taking over for Mike Snee, who left earlier this summer for a job in the NHL with the Minnesota Wild.

Ahead of the 2024-25 season, Atlantic Hockey America has added Cole McKenney as assistant commissioner for operations and Connor Grootenhuis as director of communications. McKenney is responsible for the daily operations for the conference, as well as business operations and travel logistics for officials. “Joining the AHA is an incredible opportunity, and I’m excited to contribute to the growth and success of the conference,” said McKenney in a statement.
