Chiefs GM Brett Veach talked through several topics, including which positions the Chiefs may address, as part of his annual pre-draft presser on Thursday. Here's what stood out ⤵️ https://t.co/eBJJ5RsSiA

Brett Veach says the running back class is probably the deepest position group in the draft. He mentioned really good players will be available in Rounds 1 through 5, and there's "a good likelihood" one of those players ends up on the Chiefs' roster.

The Chiefs have 202 total players on their draft board this year, per Brett Veach.

Regarding the potential of trading up in the first round, Brett Veach suggested that he's open to being aggressive if the right player falls. He mentioned Trent McDuffie and Xavier Worthy as past examples.

The Chiefs have around 12 to 13 players with first-round grades in this year's draft, per Brett Veach. He added the number of guys KC has in the "secondary wave," which includes the late first-round and early second-round guys, is higher.

Brett Veach mentioned offensive line, defensive line, cornerback and wide receiver as areas the Chiefs could target in the draft.
