Ivy, founded by Andy Chase, Dominique Durand, and the late Adam Schlesinger in 1994, will return in 2025 with their first album in 14 years, since 2011’s All Hours. Traces of You will arrive September 5 via Bar/None Records. “The world thought Ivy was gone after 2012, and for a time we did too. And after Adam’s death in 2020 it seemed certain,” Chase said in a press release.

McKinley Dixon is on one hell of a run. Ever since dropping Who Taught You to Hate Yourself? and The Importance of Self Belief back-to-back in 2018, the Virginia-raised, Chicago-based rapper has periodically released the best rap novel of all-time—only to one-up himself again two or three years later on the next. He’s been skyrocketing for nearly half-a-generation, chronicling the poetry of the world like he’s got Frank O’Hara’s eye and June Jordan’s vocab.

Miley Cyrus’ pop-stardom is confounding. She is undoubtedly one of the greatest living performers—one of the few Disney stars to break away from their child acting origins and carve out a meaningful career in adulthood. You could—and should—argue that Cyrus is the best of that crop, usurping Hilary Duff’s reign when Hannah Montana ended in 2011 and the Bangerz era began two years later. But, on a macro level, Miley’s discography has been pitifully underwhelming since 2013.
