Cal officially entered the mix with Pittsburg receiver RJ Mosley on April 30, and since then the Bears have been working to keep him home as other programs work to pull him out of the Bay Area. Stanford previously hosted the 6-foot-4, 185-pound receiver on an official visit, and Cal had its opportunity to bring him to Berkeley for a visit over the weekend.

High three-star offensive lineman Elisha Faamatuainu kicked off what has been a busy few days for Cal on the recruiting trail with a commitment to the Bears during his official visit with the team Saturday. The Murrieta Valley High School standout picked the Bears over a number of other programs in pursuit including USC and Arizona State. Ultimately, the consistent presence from Cal won out, and now he is a key part of an impressive recruiting class for the program in the 2026 cycle.

Cal landed its quarterback of the future in the winter when former Rivals100 prospect Jaron Sagapoultele joined the Bears after a brief stop at Oregon. The team needs someone to protect him moving forward, and now the Bears have that piece. Local offensive tackle Tommy Tofi has committed to Cal giving the program one of its most important pickups in recent years.

Sometimes the timing of an offer doesn't matter if the pieces all fit. Four-star cornerback Jeron Jones has been on the rise this spring, and that has led to a wave of new offers from schools entering the mix as of late. Cal was among that group of schools joining the race for a commitment from the Mission Viejo standout rising senior. The Bears offered Jones on April 16, and it didn't take long for the team to begin building a strong connection with him.
