    Radar screens that monitor Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey went completely black for about 90 seconds early Friday morning, according to a new report from ABC News. The outage comes after an identical problem last week when air traffic control screens for the same airport went dark for about 60-90 seconds. The radar outage for Newark on Friday happened at 3:55 a.m., the FAA told Gizmodo over email.

The 69-year-old Prevost will take the name Leo XIV, and the internet at large responded with basically two types of reactions: 1) the far-right conservatives who whined that Leo was a “woke Marxist,” and 2) all the other normal people who were just making jokes about the Pope being from Chicago.

    Donald Trump withdrew his nominee for Surgeon General, Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, on Wednesday following controversy over her credentials. The president quickly nominated a new pick, wellness influencer Dr. Casey Means, but even the MAGA faithful have already gotten the knives out for her. Means attended Stanford Medical School and pursued her residency at Oregon Health & Science University, but dropped out before finishing the program, according to NPR.

    Liz Oyer was fired from the U.S. Department of Justice in March after she refused to recommend that actor Mel Gibson be allowed to own firearms again after a domestic violence conviction. The Trump regime tried to pressure Oyer, who worked in the office that handles pardons, by noting that Gibson was a friend of the president. But she refused to budge and was escorted out of the building by security on the order of DOJ Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.
