JACKSONVILLE — Mary Summers of Seven Rivers Christian won a pair of gold medals and a bronze at the Class 1A FHSAA State Track & Field Championships on Saturday, May 10, to finish off an incredible eighth grade year. Summers, the Class 1A state cross country champion in the fall, now has six track & field state medals and two in cross country to make her one of the most decorated athletes in Citrus County history before she even enters high school.

JACKSONVILLE — A pair of Lecanto athletes earned medals at the Class 3A FHSAA State Track & Field Championships, although one had to wait an extra day to claim hers. Tez Joseph and Adrianna Miller were the only two Panthers to qualify for state and both took advantage of the opportunity. Joseph has had an incredible athletic career in multiple sports at Lecanto High School, so it seemed only fitting that the Panther senior closed out his four years with a medal.
