The Oregon Ducks got a big-time transfer this offseason from Tulane star running back Makhi Hughes in part because of family connections. When Oregon starting running back Jordan James declared for the NFL draft this winter, the Ducks knew they were going to require adding another dynamic running back to its room. So naturally, when Tulane star back Makhi Hughes entered the transfer portal, the Ducks were interested in the 5-foot-11, 210-pound, bruising running back.

Oregon concluded its second week of April spring practice this past week, as they close in on the spring game in just under two weeks time. Spring practice coverage has been different this spring. As noted previously, construction on a new state-of-the-art practice facility is underway and that's moved practices inside Autzen Stadium, meaning media will not have practice access. Interviews will still be held though.
