WASHINGTON — A man will spend seven years behind bars for robbing two District 7-Eleven stores at gunpoint last year. Kevon Holston, 27, pleaded guilty to the crimes back in March. The sentence was handed down on Monday. The first robbery happened on Nov. 27, 2024. According to the government's evidence, Holston entered a 7-Eleven in the 1600 block of 7th Street, Northwest and pointed a gun at a store employee and demanded money. The clerk complied and handed over $200 in cash.

WASHINGTON — DC Police are investigating after two girls were stabbed outside a Five Guys restaurant in Northeast D.C. on Monday. Investigators were on scene working to learn exactly what happened. According to a spokesperson for the department, officers were called to the 2400 block of Market Street Northeast just before 1:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. Once on scene, responding officers found two girls suffering from stab wounds. Both girls were conscious and breathing when police arrived.
