Opening day of the 2025 MLB season has gotten off to a rocky start for many baseball fans. Thousands of baseball fans reported that the MLB.TV app was not working for them as Opening Day games started around the country on Thursday afternoon. Two games were in progress when the technical issues began, the New York Yankees' home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers and the Toronto Blue Jays' home opener against the Baltimore Orioles.

It is no news bulletin that few, if any, teams have entered a new season with higher expectations than the 2025 Los Angeles Dodgers. After all they are the defending world champions, have their dynamic offensive arsenal returning intact and have reloaded their pitching staff with both money and moxie. They seemingly have about two dozen starting pitchers in camp. Their best player, Shohei Ohtani, is coming off an historical MVP season with 54 home runs and 59 stolen bases.
