This year’s IndyCar Series schedule has been a bit of a slow burn. After the season started on the first weekend of March, this past weekend’s event in Birmingham, Alabama, was only the fourth race in two months. But next year’s schedule will have an added weekend of racing in March when the IndyCar Grand Prix of Arlington debuts through a partnership between Roger Penske, the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys with the Arlington entertainment district of Texas Live! as a centerpiece.

Seattle is the newest team to join the Professional Women’s Hockey League as the league announced expansion to the Washington destination with the new team set to begin play in the 2025—2026 season. Seattle joins Vancouver, which was announced last week, as the PWHL’s first two expansion teams alongside the inaugural six markets (Boston, Minnesota, Montréal, New York, Ottawa, and Toronto), extending the league’s footprint to the Pacific Northwest ahead of its third season.
