    FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three people have been arrested after police say they were involved in a stabbing that started as a drug deal in central Fresno. The incident happened in the area of Hammond Avenue and Mariposa Street after 2 pm. The victims were allegedly meeting the suspects to buy marijuana. That is when authorities say Julian Carrillo approached one of the victims and stabbed him.

    MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has died following a crash in Merced County that also injured multiple people. The crash happened before 5 am on Interstate 5 near Highway 152, just west of Los Banos. The California Highway Patrol says a van with eight people inside was trying to exit to the highway when they were rear-ended by a big rig. The crash caused the van to go off the road, hit the guard rail and go down an embankment. Officers say one man was thrown from the van.

    PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Monache High School is on lockdown after police say someone was assaulted on campus Monday. Authorities say the victim is being treated for their injuries and is expected to be ok. It has not been confirmed if the victim is a student. The suspect was identified and taken into custody off-campus. It is also not known if they were a student. While the situation has been contained, officials say the school will remain on lockdown as the investigation continues.

    FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has died after police say he was impaled by a fence bar in central Fresno. Authorities were called out at 8:30 am Wednesday to Olive and Winery avenues, across from Ewing Elementary School. A witness said there appeared to be a dead body hanging on the fence. Police believe the man tried to climb the fence and got pierced in the calf by a metal bar. The man has not been identified, but police say he was 68 years old.
