FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are investigating a possible pipe bomb outside a Walmart in central Fresno. Authorities were called out to the store on Blackstone and Ashlan around 7:30 am Monday. An employee reported a suspicious object outside the front door of the building. The EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) has taken over the investigation. There is no longer a scene, and police are still searching for the person who left the device.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has died after being hit by a vehicle in northeast Fresno. Police say it happened just before 6 am Monday at Shaw and First. Authorities say the man was in the crosswalk on Shaw when he was hit by the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Officers say the driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. The man has not been identified.

DINUBA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Multiple people have been displaced following a fire at an apartment building in Dinuba. The flames broke out at the building on Tulare near J streets just before 1 am Monday. Officials say it started on the second floor. Five units had water and smoke damage. Fire crews had to rescue six people from windows. Eight people were treated for smoke inhalation and released on scene. Four businesses below the apartments suffered water damage.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Former Diamond Dog Aaron Judge is adding more accolades to his name. Judge has been named the 2024 American League MVP. It's his second time getting the award, also winning in 2022. FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Allegiant Airlines has announced new seasonal service between Fresno Yosemite International Airport and Portland International Airport. Starting May 22, 2025, you can fly nonstop between the cities on Sundays and Thursdays. The service is expected to last until mid-August 2025. Allegiant made the announcement as part of 44 new nonstop routes and three new cities. The airline also offers nonstop flights from Fresno to Las Vegas.
