    Estonian manufacturer Roofit.Solar has made the switch to TOPcon and unveiled plans to add a new range of colored metal roof panels with integrated monocrystalline solar cells. Chief growth officer (CGO) Greg Grace told pv magazine the expanded range brings more power and aesthetic options to the building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) segment.

    UK developer Low Carbon has signed four power purchase agreements (PPA) with ElectroRoute covering 140 MW of solar capacity. A Low Carbon spokesperson confirmed to pv magazine that the agreements come into effect immediately and will run until March 2028. Low Carbon described the deals as balancing PPAs, agreements that will see ElectroRoute take on the delivery risk between forecast and generation.

    The UK government has proposed a new grant for domestic thermal storage in a bid to accelerate the decarbonization of home heating. Grants would be available through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), which currently offers a GBP 7,500 ($10,000) subsidy for air-source heat pumps in England and Wales. BUS grants have been the key driver behind accelerated air-source heat pump deployment in the United Kingdom.

    There we 57,000 certified rooftop solar installations in the United Kingdom in the first three months of 2025, the strongest first quarter for more than a decade. The last time Q1 installations were higher was in 2012, when the UK government’s feed-in tariff offer drove demand. Certification body MCS recorded 21,000 solar PV installations in March alone, the highest for a single month since December 2015.

L’opérateur de système de distribution (DSO) pour Londres, l’est et le sud-est de l’Angleterre a indiqué que plus de 150 « compétitions de flexibilité » ont été organisées pour ce marché au cours des 12 derniers mois.
