(WWBT) - A child is in the hospital after police say they were hit by a car in a Chesterfield neighborhood Friday night. Police were called to the 1400 block of Charter Landing Drive around 7 p.m. on Dec. 6 for the report of a pedestrian hit by a car. Eyewitnesses who spoke to 12 On Your Side said a Christmas event was happening in the neighborhood at the time of the crash.

(WWBT) -A woman in Chesterfield has died after a shooting Thursday evening. Just before 6 p.m. on Nov. 7, police responded to a reported shooting in the 5800 block of Nottinghill Drive, between Route 1 and Chippenham Parkway. Officers arrived and found a woman shot multiple times; they rendered aid before sending her to the hospital, where she later died.
