    According to a new study by the Angus Reid Institute, 36% of Canadians have a favourable opinion of Conservative Party of Canada leader Pierre Poilievre, including just 18% of people in Montreal, the city where positive impressions of Poilievre are lowest. Conversely, a majority of Canadians (60%), including 76% of Montrealers, say they have a negative opinion of Poilievre. Net favourability of Pierre Poilievre currently sits at -24% nationally. In Montreal, that percentage decreases to -58%.

    The Montreal Jazz Fest has dropped the complete lineup for their 2025 edition, including headliners Nas (performing his album Illmatic with a symphony orchestra) Ayra Starr and Thundercat.
