    FLORENCE, S.C. — Work has started on a project designed to improve stormwater drainage from Cherokee Road to some Evans Street neighborhoods. The project will protect the area from flooding and also restore some of its natural look, Assistant Florence City Manager Clint Moore said. Baroody Street. "Eighteen town homes, large, 1,200 square-feet, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half baths. They each have two dedicated parking spaces behind the security gate. Six of 18 units have garages, and there's no other units in downtown that have their own garages," Martin said of his development.
