I am a British citizen who spends a significant portion of each year working abroad. On average, I spend eight out of ten months overseas. During my daily routine, I rely heavily on the broadcasts from BBC radio stations 3 and 5. I listen to these stations on average five hours each day, making them an essential part of my life. They are more than just a source of news. They form a bridge, a link, to the life I'm unable to experience back home due to the demands of my work.

Private equity-backed reinsurers’ appetite for Asian life insurance assets is unlikely to be sated any time soon, as there is $2 trillion of assets/liabilities under management that are currently providing sub-par capital returns. Shareholder pressure and new capital standards are likely to drive companies in Japan to move first. As of December 31, 2023, private equity-backed reinsurance transactions representing $25 billion of assets had occurred in Asia, only 2 percent of the addressable total.

At first glance, this looks like a landslide for Labour and its incoming prime minister, Keir Starmer, who emerges with a dominant parliamentary majority that looks a lot like Tony Blair's in 1997. Blair's win kicked off a long period of dominance for the center-left and a grim trudge through the wilderness for the right. But there is something disquieting in these results that doesn't bode well for Labour and, by extension, Democrats in the United States.

Results The average wait time from referral to study was 136.25 days +/- 125.7 SD. The total number of elective LTV sleep studies (figure 2) performed on C3 was 36 with a success rate of 94.5%. Two studies were unsuccessful due non-technical problems (acute patient deterioration and TST <4h). In comparison, our sleep unit had a 2% failure rate over the same 12-month period on non-ventilated patients.
