The other two most notable names are second-year players Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele. Franklin was selected in the fourth round at pick 102, and Vele was picked in round seven at pick 235 during the 2024 NFL Draft. In 2024, Vele had 41 receptions for 475 yards and three touchdowns. Franklin, meanwhile, had 28 receptions for 263 yards and two touchdowns.

With the first three picks likely being some combination of Cam Ward, Hunter, and Carter, the draft board at fourth overall becomes a lot less intriguing for a team to trade up for. None of the other quarterbacks are viewed highly, and the rest of the non-quarterbacks don't spark the same interest as Hunter or Carter. The 2025 draft class is viewed as a lot deeper than it is strong at the top. Only Carter and Hunter are viewed as blue-chip prospects, and Ward will likely go first overall.
