    GARDEN waste permits need to be purchased in West Lothian for 2025/26, and the permits must be displayed on brown bins. This now means that if residents want their brown bin emptied, they will need to pay £52.75, and the permit will be valid from 1 June 2025 until 31 May 2026. However, this does not apply to food waste, which can still be emptied without a permit.
