Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe was taken ill in midweek before being admitted to hospital on Friday night as a precaution leading up to Sunday afternoon's clash with Manchester United. The Magpies boss has been in the care of medics over the weekend and will not be in the dugout for this weekend's clash with the Red Devils, while also remaining a doubt for the visit of Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
