Jonathan Rich and Phil Eschbach are cradle Episcopalians. After both men retired from their respective careers — Rich as a corporate attorney and Eschbach as a commercial photographer — they began spending more time than ever in church. Neither had become more devout but they had, by any definition, become evangelists. Rather than saving souls, however, they became obsessed with saving historic Carpenter Gothic-style Episcopal churches.
