Now, the family of the 18-year-old who was killed, Mohamed Samura, is speaking out and pushing for answers. Samura was hit in the crash on June 11, 2024, near the Howard University business school. He died in the hospital four days later.

    ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) — There was a powerful show of support for survivors of domestic violence in Northern Virginia, all to raise awareness and some much-needed funding. The head of a women’s shelter slept in her car Thursday night to show the extreme measures some people will take to leave an abusive home. “This is probably where I’ll sleep,” said Tiffany Santana, the executive director of the Bethany House of Northern Virginia. She gestured to one blanket in the backseat of her car.
