The BBC has extended its LTA rights deal until the end of 2027. This means the broadcaster will continue to air the Queen’s Championships across linear, iPlayer, and the BBC Sport website, as well as the LTA’s Eastbourne and Nottingham events on iPlayer and the BBC Sport website. Queen’s will include a women’s tournament this year, for the first time in half a century.

Taking place on 21 April in Madrid, the event honours the top athletes around the globe and celebrated its 25th year this time round. Premier Sports broadcast it live in the UK, with viewers seeing gymnast Simone Biles and pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis taking home the prestigious Sportsman and Sportswoman of the year prizes. Done+Dusted was also celebrating an anniversary this year, having now produced the awards for the past 20 years.

There are now less than a hundred days to go until the The World Games 2025 Chengdu take place, and host broadcaster International Sports Broadcasting is well underway in its preparations. Around 1000 people will be involved in bringing the event to audiences around the globe from 7-17 August, across 18 production teams. Most of those will be from China, with teams from Colombia, Spain, and central Europe complementing this. There is also one all-female production team involved.
