Antonina Favorskaya, Sergei Karelin, Konstantin Gabov and Artem Kriger have been on trial behind closed doors since October on charges, which they deny, of belonging to an extremist group.

O governo russo comentou nesta terça-feira (8) que a Rússia não vê motivo para discutir a possibilidade de assinar um tratado de paz com o Japão para encerrar formalmente a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Segundo o Kremlin, não há motivo para assinar o tratado, que há muito é aguardado, devido à posição hostil de Tóquio em relação a Moscou. A Rússia, o estado sucessor da União Soviética, e o Japão nunca assinaram um tratado de paz encerrando formalmente as hostilidades durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial.
