On November 5, 2024, Missouri voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition A, increasing the state's minimum wage and requiring employers with 15 or more employees to provide mandatory paid sick leave for Missouri employees beginning May 1, 2025. Under the new law, most Missouri employees will be entitled to earn one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked. Moreover, the new law does not include a maximum amount of sick leave an employee can accrue.
