May 27 (Reuters) - Tyremaker Goodyear India reported a profit in the fourth quarter on Tuesday, as higher replacement demand for tyres offset the impact of higher rubber prices.
U.S.-based Goodyear Tire's Indian unit posted a profit of 48.7 million rupees ($570,578) for the three months ended March 31 against a loss of 42.1 million rupees a year ago.
Goodyear India supplies tyres to BMW and Toyota among others and depends on automakers' sales for a major chunk of its revenue.

The carmaker posted a quarterly profit of 16.14 billion rupees, down 4% year-on-year but well above analysts' expectations of 13.17 billion rupees, according to LSEG data. Exports for fiscal 2025 grew 0.1%, hurt by the Red Sea crisis.

(Reuters) -Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra expects its sport utility vehicle (SUV) sales to grow by up to 19% in the current financial year, an executive said on Monday, citing strong interest in its combustion engine and new electric models. "We continue to stay positive, given our portfolio and we will look at mid-to-high teens (percentage growth) for SUVs," Rajesh Jejurikar, CEO of Mahindra's automotive and farm businesses, said in a post-earnings press conference.

Nov 14 (Reuters) - India's Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) reported a 22.1% rise in second-quarter profit on Thursday, aided by demand for its aircraft from the country's defence ministry.
The state-owned fighter jet manufacturer and maintenance firm's consolidated net profit rose to 15.1 billion rupees ($178.89 million) in the three months ended Sept. 30, from 12.37 billion rupees a year earlier.

Nov 13 (Reuters) - India's Eicher Motors, which makes the Royal Enfield brand of motorcycles, reported a bigger-than-expected quarterly profit on Wednesday, helped by increased sales of its higher-capacity models such as the 'Himalayan'.
The company said its net profit rose 8.3% year-on-year to 11 billion rupees ($130.40 million) in the three months to Sept. 30.
That beat analysts' average estimate of 10.66 billion rupees, as per data compiled by LSEG.

Nov 12 (Reuters) - Indian auto parts maker Samvardhana Motherson International reported a smaller-than-expected increase in second-quarter profit on Tuesday, hurt by slower demand.
The company, which supplies Maruti Suzuki, Mercedes Benz, Audi and other automakers, said consolidated net profit rose over four-fold to 8.8 billion rupees ($104.27 million) for the three months ended Sept. 30.
However, that missed analysts' average estimate of 9.15 billion rupees, according to data compiled by LSEG.
