    May 27 (Reuters) - Tyremaker Goodyear India reported a profit in the fourth quarter on Tuesday, as higher replacement demand for tyres offset the impact of higher rubber prices. U.S.-based Goodyear Tire's Indian unit posted a profit of 48.7 million rupees ($570,578) for the three months ended March 31 against a loss of 42.1 million rupees a year ago. Goodyear India supplies tyres to BMW and Toyota among others and depends on automakers' sales for a major chunk of its revenue.

    India's Bajaj Auto plans to take control of KTM AG as part of an 800 million euro ($906.2 million) debt package aimed at reviving the troubled Austrian motorcycle maker, it said on Thursday. The move will see the 'Pulsar' motorcycle manufacturer, which has been a minority investor in KTM since 2007, shift from a dormant stakeholder to a strategic lead, aligning governance and injecting fresh capital to restore KTM's operations.

The carmaker posted a quarterly profit of 16.14 billion rupees, down 4% year-on-year but well above analysts' expectations of 13.17 billion rupees, according to LSEG data. Exports for fiscal 2025 grew 0.1%, hurt by the Red Sea crisis.

    (Reuters) -Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra expects its sport utility vehicle (SUV) sales to grow by up to 19% in the current financial year, an executive said on Monday, citing strong interest in its combustion engine and new electric models. "We continue to stay positive, given our portfolio and we will look at mid-to-high teens (percentage growth) for SUVs," Rajesh Jejurikar, CEO of Mahindra's automotive and farm businesses, said in a post-earnings press conference.
