HANNIBAL — Calvin Jones, a fifth grader at Eugene Field Elementary, plans to open a sports shop one day. Becoming a business owner became a dream of Calvin’s last June when he was introduced to various businesses owners in the Hannibal community through the Kids in Motion (KIM) program at Douglass Community Services. Douglass Community Services is a United Way of the Mark Twain Area’s Community Impact Agency that will be highlighted throughout November.

Combining community service with the ultimate girl’s night out, the event proved a remarkable success in support of United Way’s Everyone Can Help Someone Campaign. Collectively, ten Mom Prom queen candidates raised an inspiring $15,300.
