Over the past year, there have been too many headlines featuring tragedies, destruction, and disaster. When I’ve heard reports of tragic news — like I’m sure many of you have — I experienced sadness, stress, fear and worry. With reports of mass shootings, corruption, and disaster, it can feel like our world is falling apart. I know there’s a lot of good in the world. In fact, reports suggest that overall, in terms of global poverty, disease and oppression, our world is in an upswing.
