Nina est un macaque japonais, une espèce de singe à la face rouge qu’on voit souvent au milieu de sources d’eau chaude au Japon. Nina vit en liberté dans la forêt, mais presque chaque jour, elle se rend au centre des singes d’Awajishima afin de profiter de la nourriture distribuée aux singes par le personnel de l’endroit. Nina est née sans mains, chose qui n’est pas rare chez ce groupe de macaques.
