A slow-moving system is approaching San Diego and will bring a better chance of mostly light showers overnight into tomorrow morning and again overnight Thursday into Friday morning. It remains cool through Friday as temperatures top out 5 to 15 degrees below normal, with Thursday and Friday being the coolest days. Preliminary forecast totals will range from .01 to .25" locally up to .50", with the highest totals near the mountains.

It will be noticeably cooler through Friday as temperatures top out 5 to 15 degrees below normal, with Thursday and Friday being the coolest days. A deeper marine layer this week will bring periods of heavy mist to light rain each night and morning through Wednesday, though little to no accumulation is expected.

Today was another hot one inland, while fog and low clouds impacted coastal areas. Today was a record hot one in Campo which soared to 89 degrees, breaking the previous record of 87 degrees. Alpine and Ramona were shy of their record highs by just a degree or two.
