The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is reporting over 800 cases of measles in 25 states as of April 18. There have been no cases reported in Wisconsin. Health officials say that measles is highly contagious and can lead to serious complications, especially for young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

    Dust storms, the Colorado River, a large thunderstorm and a flood — all major plot points of Elon University’s production of “Grapes of Wrath” where technology plays a large role. The show, based on the novel by John Steinbeck, will be performed April 3 to 5 in McCrary Theatre. “Grapes of Wrath” is set in the mid-1930s during the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl. The show follows the Joad family as they lose their home in Oklahoma and go on a journey to California in search of a better life.

    MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Police were called Friday night to a Madison McDonald’s after a man allegedly tried to get into vehicles and yell at customers outside the restaurant. Around 9:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s on the 1100 block of Regent Street. The 41-year-old suspect allegedly threatened a police officer as he was being detained, MPD reported. The man was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct, threating law enforcement, and two count of bail jumping.
