If you’re at all like me, spring cleaning can be something of a domino situation. I might start by cleaning the baseboards, but when I get to the stairs, I’m like, wow these handrails are dirty. And so on. By the time I’m done, I’ve also discovered coffee splashes on walls, cobwebs in ceiling corners, and the dustiest blinds one has ever seen—and I’m feeling rather disgusted with myself.

Over the weekend, you folks granted 300 wishes for kids in foster care PLUS donated an additional $6,500 in general donations to @OneSimpleWish! The amount of love and joy you sent out into the universe… thank you. You all give me hope.

In 2015, when we were brand new foster parents, a 3- year-old boy moved into our home. He had one box of belongings to his name, most of which was clothing that clearly didn't fit him. After a year with us, he went back to biological family. (Continued in thread)

you people… 😭❤️

Two weeks ago, more than 7 years after he left our home, our first foster son moved back in with us. These kids have been through so much and have so little of their own; that's why granting their wishes has such a huge impact. Please grant one if you can. https://t.co/kPClYchGrW
