By Meghan Durham Wright, NCAA The NCAA Division I Council recently approved changes to the notification-of-transfer windows in football and men's and women's basketball from a total of 45 days to 30 days, effective immediately. The changes, which were initially introduced in June, are intended to provide greater stability to student-athletes and programs, in better alignment with academic terms and, in some cases, professional league draft rules.

By Meghan Durham Wright, NCAA Wofford failed to monitor its men's basketball program when former men's basketball head coach Jay McAuley regularly required three student-athletes and occasionally others to participate in countable athletically related activities during designated days off, and the school did not have systems in place to detect violations, according to an agreement released recently by the NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions.
