The Allegheny County Police Department is investigating after a child was hit and killed by a vehicle in Harrison Township. The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday along Kuntz Street.First responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the child died on the scene.County police say preliminary information shows the child was riding her bicycle when she was struck. Her name and age have not yet been released.

The medical examiner's office said 9-year-old Courtney Carter died at the hospital Sunday evening. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Rosedale Street near Tacoma Street. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, responders arrived to find the girl in the road with traumatic injuries.
Crews begin emergency demolition on building in East McKeesport

A portion of Fifth Avenue in East McKeesport, Allegheny County, is closed indefinitely as crews work on the emergency demolition of a building.The closure impacts the stretch between Park Avenue and Chicora Street. Crews on the scene tell Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that the back of the building was damaged in a storm and an engineer determined it was not safe to keep it standing.

A 6-year-old girl died Sunday evening after she was struck by a vehicle while riding her bike in Pittsburgh's Homewood South neighborhood. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. along Rosedale Street near Tacoma Street. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, responders arrived to find the girl in the road with traumatic injuries. She was taken to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in critical condition, where she was pronounced dead.
