The Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS) launched the Bhu-Neer portal on November 20, 2024 for providing an integrated platform for the management of groundwater withdrawal permits. This centralised advanced portal has been developed by the Central Ground Water Authority under MoJS and the National Informatics Center. The portal aims to provide comprehensive information on groundwater-extraction regulations at the state as well as national level.
