SEARCY — With dominant starting pitching, Harding Academy stayed on course Tuesday evening to remain in first place in the 4A-5 North Conference by sweeping Pulaski Academy 5-2 and 11-7, getting closer to the conference regular season title. Harding Academy starting pitcher for game one, Nate Corbitt threw a complete game against the Bruins.

SEARCY — The Searcy Lions improve their 5A-East Conference with a sweep of a doubleheader against Nettleton, winning the opener 2-1 in nine innings and coming back in the second game and beating the Raiders 7-3 at Lions Sports Annex. Game one against the Raiders was a pitching battle between Searcy right handed starting pitcher Blake Parker and Nettleton’s senior starting pitcher Maddox Hampton.

SEARCY – Harding Academy had a solid pitching performance from right hander Cam Norris and the Wildcats took advantage of some poor defensive plays and a balk by Morrilton, got some timely hitting and dependable defense to defeat the Devil Dogs 5-1 in the second game at Wiggins Field Tuesday. It was the finale of a two-game sweep for the Wildcats, but they needed extra innings to defeat the Devil Dogs 3-2 in nine innings in the opener.

SEARCY – With the 5-4, victory against Central Arkansas Christian, Tuesday evening in North Little Rock, the Searcy Lions overall record improved to 2-2 but Searcy Lions baseball coach Matthew Davis says there is still plenty of baseball left to be played this season. Davis said that the Lions are right where they need to be at this time of the season. The Searcy Lions have overcome the two losses that came against - a historically good Benton program.

SEARCY – Led by senior starting pitcher Will Evans, the Searcy Lions stuck to the game plan and were able to use 10 hits and shutout Pangburn 10-0, Wednesday evening at home at Lions Field. Searcy baseball coach Matthew Davis describes Evans as a solid pitcher with good command of his pitches and throws a heavy ball that sinks when it reaches the plate. Last season, Evans finished second on the team with an ERA 2.36 and struck out 47 in just 26.2 innings.

HARRISON – Harding Academy used its lockstep defense to maximum capacity on the way to a 61-40 victory over McGehee at the 3A State basketball tournament being played at Pioneer Pavilion on the campus of North Arkansas College. Harding Academy coach Tye Clothier said after the game he told his team they needed to be ready to play against a physical opponent and to be ready to play like it is the last game of their career.

HARRISON – Bald Knob’s 2025 basketball came to an end Wednesday night, losing 52-50 to Prescott at the 3A State of Arkansas Basketball Tournament being played at Pioneer Pavilion at North Arkansas College. With 11 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Bald Knob senior guard Javien Smith was able to capture his ninth rebound of the game and was able to get the Bulldogs down the court. As Smith crossed midcourt, Bald Knob basketball coach Troy McFadden called for a timeout.
Tigers' season comes to an end vs Jessieville

BALD KNOB — Pangburn’s basketball season came to an end Wednesday night against Jessieville losing 52-46, ending a chance for the Tigers to make a Cinderella run at the 2025 Boys 3A-3 Regional Tournament being played at Bald Knob. Pangburn offense was led by senior point guard Cade Rolland and junior swingman TeAndre Jones. Both players scored 13 points for the Tigers but Pangburn’s defense was described by Jessieville basketball coach Jared White as persistent.

SEARCY — Harding Academy defeated Pangburn 43-32, at Harris Gym with a 3A-6 record of 8-4, the Wildcats find themselves in third place in the conference. Harding Academy coach Trey Jameson was looking for someone to find the basket and forward Cole Sivia answered the call as he scored 14 points to lead all scores. Senior guard Eli Baker scored 9 points and both Kam Hoover and Cam Pryor scored 7 points for the Wildcats, Caleb Jefferies scored 4 and Tanner Simmons finished the game with 2 points.

SEARCY — Harding Academy continued their six-game winning streak and improved their 3A-6 Conference record to 9-1 with a 55-40 win over Pangburn Tuesday night at Harris Gym, wrapping up the outright league title for the Lady Wildcats. Harding Academy led offensively by junior guard Emery Wilson and junior Mackenzie Byrd as both players finished the game with 13 points.
