Alzheimer's is a brain disease, causing a slow decline in memory, thinking and behavior. In 2022, Alzheimer's was the sixth leading cause of death in those ages 65 and older.

    Middle-aged women with a coffee habit could be setting themselves up to live longer and healthier lives. If you want to reach older age with a sharp mind and healthy body, some experts say part of the answer may be in your coffee cup. A study looked at women in their 50s who drank one to three cups of caffeinated coffee per day. It followed them for 30 years. The conclusion found the coffee drinkers lived longer and were free from major chronic diseases.

    Tick-borne diseases are on the rise in the U.S.According to data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC,) the number reported each year has quadrupled over the last two decades. Experts believe there are more ticks now and that's leading to more people getting tick-borne diseases, so it's important to be more vigilant than ever before. "It does seem like it'll be sort of a hot year for ticks," said Thomas Hart with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
