Donald Trump doesn’t want you to read my book “Why Didn’t We Riot? A Black Man in Trumpland.” If you want to better understand how we arrived at this moment, you should read it. “Why Didn’t We Riot?” is among the books the Trump administration just banned from the U.S. Naval Academy library. It’s the administration’s latest step in its quest to rid the country of “DEI.” To be clear. “Why Didn’t We Riot?” is neither a product of diversity, equity and inclusion programs, nor critical race theory.

From Santa Barbara to San Diego, they have washed ashore by the hundreds, convulsing and confused. Sea lions and elephant seals, red-throated loons and brown pelicans - over the past several weeks, members of each species and more have shown up on beaches along the coast of California seriously ill or dead after suffering from seizures. Some sick marine mammals have acted aggressively, biting swimmers and surfers.

RT @evanvucci: This photo underscores the importance of eyewitness journalism and AP’s legacy of documenting the presidency. I look forward…
