    On December 20, 2023, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) officially announced a pilot program to resume stateside visa renewals for qualified H-1B nonimmigrant visa applicants who meet certain requirements. The pilot program will begin on January 29, 2024, and run through April 1, 2024. The initial pilot phase will be limited to principal H-1B visa holders only; H-4 dependents will not be included at this time.
