Hello,Happy Friday to you!How’s your week been? We’ve had a fun one – it was my niece’s birthday this week, and we went to Sussex Butterfly Gardens- she's got an amazing affinity with all creatures. At one point she had at least four butterflies resting on her hands and arms!Last weekend we tapped into some of the cool stuff happening at Brighton Festival and the Fringe - read on to find out more.

Hello!A warm welcome to this week’s newsletter. Iris and I have had a fun week in the sun. There’s been days of play with friends, cycling skills training, a trampoline lesson, swimming class and beach school. We’ve been making a set of flashcards of words that Iris can read. She creates the cards, a couple a day and we put them inside a treasure chest that she’s decorated. We’re building up to enough words that she can craft sentences from them.

Hello coconut!How are you today? Missed checking in last week, but it was soooo good to have a break. We soaked up ALL the sunshine in west Wales; went on some lush walks on the coast path, through banks of wild flowers, spent a day on a deserted beach exploring rockpools, explored a sun-dappled wood with stream and waterfalls, visited castles and scrambled up hills to watch the sunset. So refreshing! When we got back the garden had literally popped – everything is so green and alive.

Hello lovely folk!How are you today? I’m writing this from Pembrokeshire in Wales where we’ve just arrived for a family holiday. This place makes my heart sing – I’m a very happy being right now!We’ve had a great week of play and discovery. Iris’ beach school started back this week. More on this to follow. I finished off the contents for issue 125 – it’ll be out next month. I can’t wait to send you a copy.

Hello,Happy Easter weekend! Hope you’ve had a lush week. I’ve had so much fun out and about. This photo is from a sunrise walk I had yesterday with my sister, up Kingston Ridge. It’s one of my favourite views, looking out over Mount Caburn and Firle Beacon. Yesterday morning there was low lying mist in the valleys and a bright, buttery sun. Gorgeous!Iris and I have packed our days with activities – we’ve been swimming, trampolining, crafting in the woods, twitching and sliding down steep banks.

Hello!A happy Easter holidays to you. The holidays aren't too much different from term time for us, but it's a good chance to see friends who're usually at school. And there's so much stuff happening too. We've had a busy week!This week we got to cuddle some sheep (read on for more), discovered 1000 years of history, met a snake called Pudding, listened to a brilliant retelling of Roald Dahl's The Twits and painted rocks for an art installation.
