MERCER – A Common Pleas Court judge granted Billy Phillips bond Thursday. Billy Dewayne Phillips, 33, of 1304 Baldwin Ave., Sharon, was on trial in April on charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, third-degree murder, conspiracy to commit third-degree murder, aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit aggravated assault for the Aug. 1 shooting death of Terran Page-Hughes, 35, Sharon, in the 800 block of Ravine Place in Sharon.

SHARON – The Thrift Room, a year-old Sharon business run by two Farrell brothers, is one of eight Sharon businesses to recently receive a grant through Sharon Economic Development, the Shenango LaunchBox, the city of Sharon and the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Twins Jaman Holden and Trian Holden started selling vintage clothing out of their dorm room, and the store moved last year to 155 E. State St. in downtown Sharon.
