A new treatment promises to drastically lower the severity of a dangerous virus in young children. Doctors describe an antibody treatment for respiratory syncytial virus, or RSV, as a game changer that could be life-changing for the 2 million children in the U.S. who contract it each year. About 80,000 children are hospitalized per year for RSV, and up to 300 die.

Colorectal cancer is now the leading cause of cancer deaths in men under the age of 50. This year alone, 53,000 people are expected to die from colorectal cancer. Doctors are trying to figure out why it's becoming increasingly common: Colorectal cancer rates are rising by 1% to 2% every year. It's a lesser-known and less-funded cancer, which is why one survivor is sharing his story - in hopes that his ordeal can help save someone else.

Justice Thurston, 22, entered the foster care system when she was 12 years old. Now, she's been recognized recently in D.C. as an advocate for foster children. "If they don't have a place, I'm gonna speak," Thurston said. She went back and forth between 20 foster homes when she was a child. While great foster parents exist, she said she didn't get any. The moving around made being apart from her siblings hard. "I didn't want to be split up from them," Thurston said.
