But a number of Montana schools have not yet taken action and the possibility of lead in school drinking water continues to be a serious concern.

Montana Republicans just voted to raise your residential property taxes yet again this year by failing to override Gov. Gianforte’s veto of SB442, a bill which would have used revenue from marijuana sales to help fix rural roads, improve wildlife habitat and mental health services, and benefit veterans. Under the bill, counties would have received roughly $16.6 million to help fix rural roads across Montana.

Gov. Gianforte is refusing to accept $10 million to help feed hungry kids this summer, money that will otherwise just sit unused. And this isn’t the first time the Montana GOP has refused to act to make sure our kids have enough to eat.
