April rain couldn’t dampen the parade as an elegant herd of nearly 300 guests, “decked” in their springtime best, attended Dec My Room’s recent 7th annual Room to Grow luncheon. Typically, the beloved springtime event takes place in the Neiman Marcus Garden at NorthPark Center. Inclement weather, though, moved the event inside to SouthCourt under the watchful eye of artist Jonathan Borofsky’s iconic work from 1982, “Five Hammering Men.”Even inside, the heartwarming event shined brighter than ever.

Dwell with Dignity’s largest annual fundraiser, Thrift Studio Raised $107,000 at its recent Premiere Party. More than 300 guests purchased a VIP ticket in order to be the first to shop the event’s designer-curated selection of donated furniture, artwork, and accessories. The rush of being the first to shop reminded me of buying the “early bird” ticket at the Marburger Farm Antique Show in Round Top (but with better prices!).

The unofficial, lowercase real housewives of Dallas came out to welcome Nicky and Kathy Hilton to Dallas on a recent bussin’ night at Highland Park Village. Every year, on the night before Children’s Cancer Fund, alice + olivia founder Stacey Bendet hosts a fundraiser at her Highland Park Village store with Nicky and Kathy Hilton, as well as U Beauty founder Tina Craig. The annual springtime soirée benefits Children’s Cancer Fund, which the hosts participate in annually.
