Murderbot Season 1 Episode 5, “Rogue War Infinite Tracker,” brings a DeltFall survivor into the fold as our core crew unravels. It also boasts a strong comedic performance from guest star Anna Konkle, whose Leebeebee subverts the usual dynamic and injects new life into the proceedings. The NewbieKonkle’s character is reminiscent of her Pen15 character, but as an adult. The monologue where Leebeebee goes on a tangent about our titular bot’s potential genitalia is absolutely golden.

Resident Alien Season 4 Episode 1, “Prisoners,” is a solid opener, brimming with hilarious character beats and plenty of narrative movement. I didn’t expect Harry to return to Earth so quickly, but I’m glad we didn’t waste time in that regard. Alan Tudyk is a once-in-a-lifetime comedy talent, effortlessly breathing life into Harry and the Mantid. He nails their shared awkward alien mannerisms while making them significantly different. I’m curious to see where this season takes us.

Murderbot Season 1 Episode 5, “Rogue War Tracker Infinite,” sees our SecUnit’s secret come to the fore. It’s intriguing to see how the PresAux group reacts to the news of its SecUnit always being in rogue mode. The outing also focuses on the state of Artificial Intelligence and how much we can rely on it. Is it really good? Can it be ethical? It’s a relevant topic. “Rogue War Tracker Infinite” is a delightful blend of biting humor and action that maintains a steady clip until that cliffhanger ending.

SurrealEstate Season 3 Episode 10, “The Elephant in the Room,” delivers a conclusion to the overarching narrative, effectively putting the Malec stuff to bed. It’s wrapped a bit too cleanly for my liking, but that’s the nature of this campy, heartwarming show. The real one-two punch is August’s death and subsequent funeral. While it comes out of left field, it’s very much true to life — death can be sudden and quick.

Poker Face Season 2 Episode 7, “One Last Job,” presents an artful blend of genres in an homage to heist movies that’s not afraid to get meta. Charlie finds herself entangled in the plot of a crime film come to life. Art imitates life, right? Or vice versa? In addition, the episode carves out some much-needed development for our girl as she continues to contemplate settling down. Charlie even finds love with Corey Hawkins’ Bill, a super sweet manager of a big box store.
