The anime is based on the manga by Kenta Shinohara, which started serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has 21 volumes as of April 2025.

The upcoming Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter TV anime has received a main trailer (labelled as an official teaser in English) and main visual ahead of its July 5 JST (effectively July 6 at 1:30 AM JST) premiere. Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter is based on the fantasy series by Riku Nanano, which was originally a Kakuyomu web novel that debuted in 2017 before becoming a light novel series published under KADOKAWA’s Fantasia Bunko label.
