1 INTRODUCTION Gouty arthritis is a recurring inflammatory joint disease caused by disruptions in purine metabolism, resulting in elevated levels of blood uric acid and the subsequent deposition of urate crystals in tissues, including joint capsules, bursae, cartilage, and bone. It manifests through common symptoms such as joint redness, swelling, heat, and pain, making it one of the most prevalent inflammatory joint diseases worldwide.
