The New York Red Bulls busy May slate came to a close with a 2-0 win over Atlanta United FC on Saturday. Cameron Harper scored the opener and assisted on the second, a tenth of the season for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. Head coach Sandro Schwarz is eager to enter the break, knowing how tired his group is. But the second year head coach also noted how proud he was of his team for performing as well as they have. Not winning every game, but adapting and learning from each one including the loses.

The New York Red Bulls earned three big points to climb up the Eastern Conference table on Saturday night, beating Charlotte FC 4-2. A scoresheet with Wiktor Bogacz, Mohammed Sofo, and Eric Maxim Chuopo-Moting all hitting the back of the net. Red Bulls continue to make Sports Illustrated Stadium a fortress and win their second in a row. In a month that has seen the Red Bulls play eight games in all competitions, New York had to rotate. Open Cup Digest #16The 2025 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup rolls on, even without the Boys in Blue. The Round of 16 is here, and the lineup is almost exclusively Major League Soccer teams. Goals in each half, one goal of the matchday contender and another caused by a goalkeeper error, gave City the 2-0 win. The New York Red Bulls looked unable to adapt. Head coach Sandro Schwarz was quick to praise the opponents, including head coach Pascal Jansen.

For the first time since the 2024 MLS Cup Final, the New York Red Bulls faced off against the LA Galaxy. Despite only half a year separating the two teams from that final, neither looked the same. The defending MLS Cup champions are hobbled and New York is inconsistent. In a much needed result, both for the table and moral, RBNY decimated LA Galaxy who have still yet to win a game this season in Major League Soccer.
