COLUMBUS, Ohio — There's been a lot of talk about the Northern Lights over the weekend after a strong CME was observed from the sun toward the end of last week. While it is possible that parts of Ohio could see the Northern Lights tonight, the further away from the lakeshore you get, those chances will be dropping quickly. As of writing, conditions were at a K Index of 4, with the forecast overnight only peaking at a 7.67.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — By the time the Memorial Day holiday has come and gone in central Ohio, we are usually starting to hit the pools, crank the AC and begin to enjoy our summer breaks, even with the heat. While the breaks for schoolchildren have arrived on time, the rest of that typical summer recipe has not! Temperatures have continued to stay below average in the region for the majority of May. In fact, many of the days weren't just a little below the average mark — they were down substantially.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two rounds of strong to severe storms have already hit Central Ohio this week, and as we head into the second half of Friday, a third round is taking aim at the region!  Much like the other rounds of severe weather we have seen this week, wind and hail will be the primary focus for storms that develop and move through the region later today. While we cannot rule out the risk for some minor flooding or an isolated tornado, those are not our primary concerns later today.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Earth Day is a day when many look at their lives to find ways they can help our planet by reducing, reusing and recycling. 10TV wanted to help by finding some easy, kid-friendly craft projects you can do with your kids for Earth Day using recycled materials you likely already have in your home.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — As parts of central Ohio continue to dry out from the flooding rain just over a week ago, we are now getting set for our next round of severe weather here in the Buckeye State. A quick moving low pressure system will pass to the north of the region Monday, with a cold front sweeping through the region during the afternoon and evening. This front will find some energy available to generate possible strong to severe storms, as temperatures will surge Monday afternoon into the 70s.

While the "cap" protected #CentralOhio from #SevereStorms last night, this evening we aren't so lucky. Widespread strong/severe storms, featuring damaging wind, appear likely after dark. Have a way to get alerts this evening and tonight! #10TV #10WeatherImpact #OHwx #Ohio https://t.co/AIvSL37xE6
